“Record the vision and inscribe it on tablets, that the one who reads it may run. For the vision is yet for the appointed time; it hastens toward the goal, and it will not fail. Though it tarries, wait for it; for it will certainly come, it will not delay.’’ —Habakkuk 2:2-3, NASB

The St James Contemporary Choir brought the audience to their feet with their jubilant praise.
“God is blowing across this land and His breath is life,” said Field Director Pamela Cahill as she told how He is moving in New England.
“Our focus is on the new generation” stated Remi Ayida of Nigeria, introducing four young women who sang a praise song in their native dialect. It was a taste of heaven as people from around the world entered into this sweet time of praise to the God of all nations.
Dr. Brenda Salter McNeil introduced us to her friend Sam, a woman
“stuck in her stuff” as described in John 4.
“Jesus has a way of coming to you when you least expect it.”
“Most people whose lives are messed up already know it. Jesus makes her want to engage Him. Would to God our evangelism would be so inviting people would want to know more.”
“We’re thirsty people—that’s why we keep visiting the same well.”
“Before Jesus can give us the real thing, we’ve got to give Him the counterfeit.”
At the closing invitation, two women responded—giving their lives to Jesus! Praise God!
Geneva Vollrath closed with this challenge, “Who will go?”
One by one, voices echoed from the audience. “Here I am. Send me.”

Sara Groves
Sara Groves gave a moving performance inspiring Christian service and greater devotion to Christ.
Elisa Morgan—“I Can” Evangelism
“We are hope-dependent people. Light changes our world and changes us.”
“We all have a trail of ‘I can’ts behind us. God wants to ‘can’ your ‘I can’ts.’”
“Jesus doesn’t ask people to change their lifestyle before they come to Him. Why do we? I can accept people the way they are and leave the redecorating to God.”
Saturday Night – One Woman, One Vision
“In the midst of all the pessimism that surrounds us today, I’m making a shameless appeal for celebration. What God does in everyday life is stunning and amazing.”
Volunteer Shawna Niequist
“We need to create margin in our lives so we can reach out to those who don’t know Jesus. We get filled up for the purpose of being poured out.” Field Director Tami Walker
“My vision is that we all act on our faith, regardless of our circumstances or age.” Stonecroft intern Krystina Lowrey

“No matter where I am, I’ve got the Lord by my side and that’s an exciting place to be,” 2008 Intern Lacie Schubert.
“Our lives are not to be a distraction from what God wants to do,” Vice President of Ministry Cheryl Davis.
“What is in our lives that makes women want to follow us and our God? Because I’m here to tell you, politics won’t save us. Only Jesus can!” President and CEO Geneva Vollrath.

Who Me? Yes, You!
Dr. Brenda Salter McNeil wowed the crowd speaking gems of truth with passion and purpose:
- “What’s your vision that’s greater than your comfort?”
- “You’re never born unless God has some reason to have you on the planet.”

Eureka!
The Vital Network in Eureka, California was noted during tonight’s Opening Session. The emcees, Trina Pocket and Char Kellogg, spoke about “Chazown” and how it’s “all about being innovative and relational—like the Vital Network group in Eureka that threw a baby shower for the pregnancy care center.” Great job, Gals!

Stonecroft Heart Award 2008!
And the winner of the 2008 Stonecroft Heart Award is . . . . Norma MacAllister from Texas! Here’s a comment from one of the people who nominated her: “My vote is based not only on the longevity of Norma’s service, but also on how she has carried out Stonecroft’s mission and vision for our organization. I looked at how innovative and creative she has been in carrying out the mission, and how she is equipping the future leaders of Stonecroft.”

The Next Generation
Twenty-three year old Krystina Lowrey, one of Stonecroft’s Spring 2008 interns, gave the closing prayer for Celebrate: “We praise you, God, for the work you’ve already done through Stonecroft Ministries and the vision you’ve given us for the present and the years to come. Thank you for calling my generation to impact the world with the Gospel, just as you have the generations before. Encourage and equip us to reach out to people you’ve placed in our paths. Teach and empower us to share your love in real and relevant ways that will stir their hearts and revolutionize their lives in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.”

And so it begins…
Welcome!
Welcome to Impact ’08—Chazown. Onsite registration begins in just minutes and Stonecroft volunteers, Field Directors, and Home Office staff are gathering in anticipation.
Welcome a gorgeous day in Kansas City to greet those from Nigeria, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, from Wisconsin and Florida, North Carolina, Texas, California, Washington, and Illinois. From all places familiar and distant, you are welcome here.
Welcome God and His Chazown, His vision, for you today and all through Impact ’08.
God has called each one specifically to impress upon us His magnificence, His desire to make Himself known to each person, and your part in building His kingdom in your neighborhood, workplace, and family.
Welcome!
From Michele in California:
So what did you spend YOUR economic stimulus check on? Thanks to the U.S. government, I’m counting the days until October 10, when I will be in Kansas City for Impact ’08—Chazown!
I was blessed to be able to attend Impact ’06 and Pray Up/Lead Out, and enjoyed them so much. They were both first-class events. New friends were made from all over the country, and I got to meet some staff people who work so diligently for Stonecroft Ministries. The electives were marvelous and propelled me rapidly in my walk with and commitment to the Lord. My eyes were opened to look for those who need Him in my everyday mission field—my trips to the grocery store, my neighborhood walks. Then I was equipped on how to meet those needs.
As I look over the electives for Impact ’08—Chazown, my only wish is that I could take ALL the electives! I also look forward to lifting my voice in praise and worship with women from all over the world. It gives me goose bumps just thinking about it.
If that wasn’t enough, there’s also the Celebrate! luncheon commemorating 70 years of Stonecroft ministry. What fun it will be to look back to see what God has done—and look forward to what God is going to do.
Now tell us what’s got YOU excited about attending Impact ’08!
After attending my first Outreach Meeting last year, I was gathered under the wing of my soon-to-be mentor. who gave me Mrs. Baugh’s book to read about the history of Stonecroft Ministries. I immediately read it cover to cover! I was so deeply moved and excited about the movement of God’s Spirit throughout those early years, and already saw it continuing on into 2007 at that Outreach in little rural Clatskanie, Oregon and in my new mentor, Faye Marie Miller!
For me, this international “Book of Stonecroft” will come alive, in the flesh, as I join my sisters at the luncheon celebrating these 70 years of ministry, with a “Thrilling feast of memories and multi-media, plus a delicious meal with friends old and new.” Who will be the Stonecroft Volunteer who receives the H.E.A.R.T. Award? What will her inspirational story be and how will it move me forward?
This “book” will come alive as I meet and greet women from across America and foreign soil, and as I worship with them in prayer and song, and in fun!
And it will certainly come alive as I experience His own Chazown for me. What will it be? What will I “see”? What will I go back home with to impact my community, my own mission field, even more?
I CAN’T WAIT to find out! Kansas City here I come! Won’t you join me?
On October 6, four friends and I are flying to Missouri. We’ll be in Branson for a couple of days, vacationing in a timeshare and going to see Noah: The Musical. Then it’s off to Kansas City for Impact ’08!
We’re so excited about what God’s going to do. Two years ago at Impact ’06, I prayed for my family and especially for my two twenty-something granddaughters. They lived with me and many of their peers were in my house all the time. Not one of them was walking with the Lord, and several were Christians. “Show me some way to get these girls in the Word,” I prayed.
Two months later, He answered! One of my granddaughters was getting married, and wanted pretty, hand-baked cookies handed out to children of the guests. I asked a friend who had a cookie bouquet business to hold classes in my home for the bride-to-be and her friends. Then I asked my granddaughter if she’d like to invite them for dinner and Bible study before we made cookies each week. She said yes.
The young women loved both the cooking classes and the Stonecroft Bible Studies. Even after my granddaughter married, they continued meeting for Bible study, cooking, and crafts. We did 22 lessons together, using Why Believe, Who is Jesus, What is God Like, and Where is the Holy Spirit.
God heard and answered the prayer I prayed at Impact! He gives us these incredible ideas for ministry. He’s such a creative God!
I attended my first Stonecroft conference in 2000 and I have not missed one since. I am hooked on them.
I have learned leadership skills, how to give an effective account of my walk with Jesus and connected with women all over the country. I have learned how to pray more effectively, and how to lead in love. Through Stonecroft conferences and in the mission itself, I have learned how to reach out in the name of Jesus to people in all walks of life, and to share in the Great Commission.
I look forward to yet another conference, Impact ’08–Chazown. I am excited to come and learn more. I am excited to come and meet old and new friends. I am excited about change that makes a difference.
I can’t wait to learn from each one of the speakers. I know that when I leave Impact ’08–Chazown that I will have more in my bags and more in my heart and more in my head than when I arrived.
Can you hear the excitement! Just think there will be women from all over the World that are sharing in the same passion I have to share Jesus with every woman in every village and town and city! As I look across the towns and villages of New England I see a lot of sad faces I wish I could take them all to IMPACT to get Impacted in the best possible way with the Hope of Jesus and the journey ahead! I can’t wait to see the old and new come together and to hear what God is doing across the world and Can you just imagine the energy that will be in that room, the unleashing of a Love so extravagant! I can’t wait to see you all there and get big hugs and see the love of Christ. I am expecting to hear from God in a big way with a vision to reach the women of my state hope you are too!
I was on the morning Conference call with Geneva, Cheryl and Bev today! (and about 100 others) Wow, what a powerful reminder of why we were called to be in this ministry in the first place! I was one of the first to register for Impact. Would have been the 1st … if I had not had to be released from the hospital first. 🙂 Why am I going to Impact? Why am I encouraging others to go? I could not, not encourage others to go! I have been going to Stonecroft events and conferences since I was a young woman 32 years ago. After my first conference in 1976 my young husband said he would make sure I could go every year … that the woman he got back was a new woman filled with enthusiasm and passion for reaching “the girl next door.” Why would I not be, God had reached me through this wonderful ministry and then equipped me to go out and reach out in love, to the next soul who iwas and is as needy as I was. We are all as bad off as we can be without Christ! And that is my job as a Christian woman to love and IMPACT the women in my world with the gospel of Jesus Christ and then to equip them in turn, to go and do likewise. My husband is still making it possible all these years later for me to go, and be, and do, and to help other women do the same. Very often he goes with me because he is a tried and true Stonecroft man. I could not do what I do without his backing and support. I have said all this to say if you have not made a commitment to go yet, you need to get down on your knees and ask God if He wants you to go. Then get up expecting Him to make it possible. Back then I had 7 children I needed to Impact now I have forty five grandchildren I need to Impact. I am still too busy but I am too busy to not go. I still come back a better woman ready for what the Lord has called me to do … See the fields? They are white for harvest …go to Chazown Impact 08, then come home and tell them what wonderful things the Lord has done for you! And will do for them. Loving you all Faye-Marie Miller in little Clatskanie, Oregon
I was not planning to attend due to funding. Someone has offered to pay my way and I am really excited! God has given me an opportunity to bring more of Christ’s light and His message to more of the Women in my town and county. Blessings to those who gave so I can attend!
Hello
Nice site!
G’night
i would like to attend one of the conference of the Stonecroft but I am not in a position to pay my way. I reqest any one who can offer to pay my way
I come from Kenya. This ministry has not yet reached Kenya and I would like to come home and witness to my fellow women in Kenya
I was not able to come to Impact this year but I am home praying for all of you. I know that God is going to do a great and mighty work. I pray that as a group of women who love Jesus you are filled to overflowing with the passion to reach others for Christ. (Overflowing so that when you come back to your area we can’t help but catch “it” from you. ) I do believe that God is going to use this difficult time in our country to bring people to Him. We need to be prepared and ready to “share the hope that lies within us”.
Worship, love, pray, be encouraged, be filled, inspired and changed forever. Then bring it home and share it with the rest of the team of volunteers in your area.
Your Sister in Christ.
